THE 36th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CANDLELIGHT TOUR OF HOMES The 36th Anniversary of the Candlelight Tour of Homes will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2012 in beautiful Camden, South Carolina. Home tours will take place between 3:00 and 8:00pm and will include some of Camden's most elegant homes. There will be a variety of activities, wonderful restaurants, hotels and shopping in Camden to make your visit to our wonderful town even more festive. Please stay with us all weekend and enjoy celebrating Christmas in Camden as much as we do! The Camden Junior Welfare League organizes this holiday tour as its largest fundraiser each year. Without the generosity of our fantastic homeowners, numerous volunteers, and sponsors, this event would not be possible. Through this unique Camden tradition we are able to provide scholarships and grants for children’s charities and organizations right here in Kershaw County. For example, we provide school nurses the funds to purchase items like eye glasses, winter coats, warm shoes, and socks for students who have none. In recent years we have also built wheelchair ramps, paid for camps, and even funded counseling for children in need. Your support of this year’s event ensures that we will be able to continue to meet the needs of children throughout Kershaw County. This Tour and the impact it makes on the community is a beautiful tradition that is only still alive in small towns like Camden, and remains a fantastic way to serve the children of the County.
